The 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission
Residential Youth Camp
Two-day Residential Youth Camp to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of the Foundation of Ramakrishna Mission was conducted on 12 & 13 July 2023 at Vysya College, Salem.
62 Students from 8 colleges participated. Students arrived at the venue on the previous evening 11th July. Swami Paramasukhananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Villupuram addressed the gathering on Importance of Seva.
Swami Chaturbhujananda of Salem Ashrama, Sri S.Krishnaswamy & Sri P.R.Sethuraman, Trainers in softskills from Chennai addressed the students.
Swami Yogirajananda conducted bhajans. Sri K.M.Murali of Sivaguru Yogasanasalai, Salem taught yoga for the participants. Games conducted by Sri Jayabalan & team.
Swami Yatatmananda conducted guided meditation, performed Arati, readings from Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna & gave valedictory address.
We also displayed 40 panels of the Life and message of Swami Vivekananda for the benefit of the students. First Aid Counter was provided at the venue for the benefit participating students & staff members of Vysya College.
All participants were presented a book 'My India the India Eternal' (In Tamil), folder, notebook & study materials. Participant certificates were presented to all the participants. Lamination of Swamiji as memento were presented to 8 Colleges & co-ordinators.
Students actively participated in all the programs from 6.00 am to 9.00 pm.
YOUTH CONVENTION
Salem Ashrama conducted Youth Convention to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission on 12.4.2023 from 9.45 to 1.00 pm at Sri Valliappa Auditorium, Sona College of Technology, Salem-636005.
Youth motivational speakers addressed the gathering. 1. A young internationally acclaimed motivational speaker Sri Sharad Vivek Sagar, Patna with interaction 2. Prof V.Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras (online) and 3. Swami Vimurtananda, President, Sri Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur.
840 youths from 14 colleges in and around Salem district participated. Young, India Arise! Swami Vivekananda's Lectures in Chennai - Book was distributed to all the participants; Lunch was served to all.

Srimat Swami Kamalanandaji Maharaj (1943-2022)
A book on “Life & Spiritual Journey of Swami Kamalanandaji Maharaj of the Ramakrishna Order” (who served Sri Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Salem for two years and conducted Annual Devotees Conference, Renovated Charitable Dispensary & Monks Quarters) was released on 26.1.2023 at at Prayer Hall, Sri Balakrishnan-Vedambal Memorial Mandapam, Near Kondappanaickenpatti Panchayat office, Salem-8.
The program started with Vedaparayana & Arati followed by Welcome & introduction by Swami Yatatmananda.
The book was released by Swami Satyavidananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Malliankaranai, Kanchipuram Dt and the First copy was received by Prof. M.S.Harish, Dr. M.S.Suresh & Prof. B.S.Thandaveswara of Bengaluru Swami Yatatmananda & Er. K.B.Chandrasekaran of Salem.
There was short address by Swami Satyavidananda, Sri Narai.S.Nellaiappan, M.S.Harish, Dr. M.S.Suresh & Prof. B.S.Thandaveswara & Er.K.B.Chandrasekaran.
M/s. Charam Techno Chemical and Equipments Private Limited has completed 25 years of its service. In connection of Silver Jubilee, a Special program of “Upanyasam” was delivered by Sri U.Ve.Parasara Badri Narayana Bhattar Swami, Founder, Srimaan Trust & Sthalathar, Srirangam. 280 devotees attended and dinner prasad was served to all.
